Peace Be with You

Peace Be with You

Be grounded.
Touch each toe
‍ ‍to the earth.
Dance to hymns composed
in slumber;
sway hips to dream’s rhythms.
Music is on tour in the bloodstream;
the heart is a concert hall.

Life every voice and sing.

Pray at the altar of imagination.
The sermon lives on
oustretched palms;
Revelous refrains echo in the spires
of cathedrals we built with
our bare hands.
We baptize ourselves in sacred springs
that pool at the roots of
our family tree.

Look up.
Reach
Up

Taste the savory old sage on
‍ ‍the wind.
Take note of the wild blue;
Let the sun warm
your face,

and know -
This is where we find
peace.
